Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination, but if you want to spend a night near Cortona, stretch your budget a bit to stay on this property, which is equal parts ancient fantasy and modern convenience. Note: the road out is dangerous, but still worth the trip.

So relaxing, great pool. Food quite good with the view the best part.

We had a wonderful experience in this lost paradaise at the foot of Cortona! Our room was wonderful! The view oustanding! The service GREAT! The breakfast heavenly! The dinner at the restaurant, very well presented, impecable service, but a bit overprice compare to other similar experiences. But overall, DELIGHTFULL! Highly recomended if you like to be in the middle of NOWHERE! Not even our GPS could guide us to the place! WORTH IT!

The property is gorgeous and the rooms are preserved to reflect their original styles. Very clean, the staff is wonderful.

Beautiful place to stay tucked away in the hills. A real sense of getting away from it all. Great breakfast. Service and staff could not be better. Buildings are so full of character and the spa is amazing. Wifi is a little bit fickle but other than that really excellent.

The hotel is everything we were told that it would be. Recommended by a friend, we stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The Michelin star restaurant was amazing. Room rate included breakfast, which was the best we had during our nearly 5 weeks in Italy.

This was the first hotel we visited in our two week Tuscany vacation. Coming out of Rome and getting on the highway north, it looked like the exit should be labeled for Cortona...but it wasn't and we wasted a lot of time getting lost (our fault). Once we found the hotel, it was a gem in the hills in the vineyards. Breakfast on the patio of the little glass Liminoere building was fabulous. Loved their boxer dog roamed around saying "hi". Owner/chef is on premises and she gives cooking lessons. There is a hunting falcon "tied up" by the chapel on the property and they supposedly also take clients out to teach them how to work with falcon hunting. The outdoor pool is in the vineyard and next to the spa, with an indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi and spa rooms. The personnel were wonderful, from the waiters to the housekeepers. We did not eat dinner at their restaurant but I believe it is a one start Michelin restaurant and seemed to have quite a crowd at night. Quiet, peaceful, elegant, romantic. Once you find the place you won't want to leave. We certainly didn't but had more exploring to do in Chianti,

This is a fabulous hotel with an outstanding restaurant. It is located in a vineyard and has beautiful views of the area around Cortona. Cortona is a few miles uphill from the hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable. It is a typical Relais & Chateaux establishment; everything is well done.
