The bure was a little tired.

We arrived 2 hours early so we sat by the pool and ordered pizza for lunch. The staff brought out plates etc and set up making us comfortable while we waited for our rooms.

Our villa didn’t have a dryer, we expected one as it was in the list of facilities

I have been going to Fiji for over 50 yrs and yet this was my first time staying up around Lautoka and at First Landing and I am in love with the place. I will definitely be going back and adding it to my stays prior to going home, although I will stay longer next time. I stayed in 319, a little noisy at times from the marina BUT no one walks past, it’s private, a great view and I would ask for that room again. The room was so so clean, large, comfy bed, excellent aircon and a ceiling fan. The screened in verandah was actually a really great idea, no mozzies. The pool area is lovely, quiet and a great spot. Alex at the pool bar is lovely and looks after everyone so well. The Bar, central, rustic, great team, great drinks, reasonable priced and a great spot to chat with team, other guests, watch the Rugby etc. Try the “Moce” cocktail, absolutely brilliant. The food is fabulous, I had the BEST club sandwich I’ve ever had and I’ve had many, the herbed crumbed cutlets were amazing. I had dinner with some people who had the Lobster and they raved about it. There are tables and chairs scattered all over the place to sit and relax, on the sand, different decks, the little foot island across the bridge. During Happy Hour some lovely guys play guitars and sing, and the staff do a fire show and traditional dancing during the week as well. So much fun and so authentic. It’s a flat, easy 10 minute walk to the Vuda Marina, a handy little shop/cafe, it’s really interesting to watch the comings and goings of boats and boat people. At the point there is the Boathouse restaurant and bar, an amazing spot, fabulous views, breeze, food and drink. Just lovely. All in all, First Landing is a great little place, good value, relaxing, quiet and perfect for a real rest. I look forward to going back regularly. Thanks First Landing Team xx
