Hotel am Kurpark

There are widely varying reviews of this hotel. Since my wife is disabled we had requested a ground floor room. We were given a superb double room complex on the ground floor very near the restaurant....with UNEXPECTANTLY tea/coffee making facilities, which were much appreciated. Room keys/porterage were efficiently dealt with. We were staying here for three nights. Breakfasts were very good, and the lady on duty was friendly, kind and very helpful in providing omelette and hot chocolate. The evening meals, which have been criticized by some reviewers were good, with the quality of the meats being very good. Beds were not quite so comfortable as some hotels, and the pillows deflated rapidly. There is no lift apparent. As we were staying for three nights we asked the manager for replacement of the tea/coffee. His response was was a curt/rude NO! Perhaps he was trying to do an impression of John Cleese in Fawlty Towers. Other guests were chastised by him for touching the Christmas decorations in a very abrupt manner. This is a very good hotel with lovely staff....apart from this German version of Basil Fawlty!

Kann das Hotel für berufliche Übernachtungen uneingeschänkt empfehlen. Der einzige Minuspunkt: Die Portionen beim Abendessen (gegen Aufpreis) sind etwas klein.

Sehr sauber, moderne Zimmer. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Zuvorkommender, unaufdringlicher Service.

Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Hotel. Das Wetter war auch sehr schön. Werden wieder kommen.

Sehr gute Lage, ruhig, Fernsicht und doch super zentral. Parken ebenfalls super. Personal sehr freundlich und um den Gast bemüht.

A warm comfortable bedroom. Bed comfortable but feather pillows that sink into nothing. Breakfast usual buffet, cereals, bread, cheese, meat etc. When our daytime tour was cancelled due to snow, there was nowhere for us to sit except for 6 seats in the draughty reception. The main courses of the evening meals were curiously without flavour. Rice, sauce and meat with no taste. Foreseen one day, we received a dessert spoonfuls of plain yogurt and the same of fruit yogurt, in quantity less than that found in an average pot of yogurt. Another evening we had 1/4 of a raw apple chopped, with a tablespoonsfull of vanilla blankmange. As a bed and breakfast hotel it would be good but is let down by the evening meal.

This hotel is Family run. On arrival we received our keys quickly. Luggage soon arrived at our room. Room was a nice size and very clean. beds were nice to sleep in only thing was pillows to soft. Meals were ok but not the usual things you get a bit mixed up (paste with gravy). The village were hotel was Was very pretty Christmas trees all the way down the street with fairy lights on. Lovely church in village and some nice shops Over all stay very nice

Für mehr als 100 €/Tag war das Zimmer zu klein und das Bad viel zu klein. Minibar dient als Nachtschränkchen-Ersatz. Ein Ring, welcher dort abgelegt war, rutschte in die Lüftungsschlitze der Minibar und war nur durch demontieren der Rückwand erreichbar. Der Parkplatz vor dem Haus wurde mit 3 €/Tag sogar noch extra berechnet.
