Lodge Bordeaux

Room was spacious and tidy. Modern with a vintage style which created a very welcoming and romantic space for our little weekend get away, We booked a spa bath room, which was nice and allowed room for the both of us to share.

Perhaps we missed some info, but it was a little disappointing the spa bath seemed to turn off at 10 (our running theory) We suspect it is due to noise but we certainly missed an opportunity to enjoy a long soak.

If you are traveling and need a place to stay in Whangarei, Lodge Bordeaux is the top choice. The hosts are engaging, extremely helpful, and hospitable. They own the place, and they take care of it accordingly.

Outstanding stay. I used to stay here when it first opened decades ago all the time but this is my first trip back in a long time and its still outstanding. Well appointed, homely style furniture and while its not modern it has a great quality and vibe about it. Highly reccomend.

Lovely receptionist, very friendly and welcoming. Room clean and bed comfortable. Especially liked that the wheelchair Access shower did not splash water all over the bathroom the drainage was good.

Absolutely superb. Receptionist Josh was very helpful both with regard to our room and with local directions. The facilities in room were first class. Bed really comfortable, good kitchen facilities, jet tub in bathroom (with bath salts), and roomy. Also chairs / settee for you both to use. Could not have been better - excellent value in contrast with where we are staying in Rotoroa tonight which only has one chair for us and not enough room to swing a cat
