Had a really pleasant stay at Ocean Beach Motel! The location is fantastic—just steps away from the beach, which made the whole experience even more relaxing. The beach itself was beautiful, clean, and perfect for spending quality time outdoors. My son absolutely loved it—he had so much fun playing outside and enjoying the open space. It was great to see him so happy and engaged

The two bed room unit was very spacious and the kitchen was sufficiently equipped with dishes and cooking equipment. Coin-op washers and a dryer are available for $2NZD each, and although not ensuite, it was conveniently enough located around the building. There is an attached restaurant, which we did not have a chance to dine at. And it is a block away from Wainui beach, which is great for long walks and I make up swimming in the warmer months. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating

The toilet was not operating properly, e.g. the tank was VERY slow to refill. We asked for a bucket from reception so that we could fill it with water from the shower, which we then used to fill the toilet tank. They did call a plumber however the problem was not resolved during our stay. It would also be great if the unit had a dishwasher, which ours didn't.

Spacious apartment with great kitchen. Close to beach. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds and couch. Lots of storage and outdoor area. Kaiti shops pretty handy. Very close to the cycleway into Gisborne.

Weather was very average!!
