Loved the gym and spa facilities. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning

The meals in the restaurant in the evening. I felt the bills were high for extremely mediocre dining. The first night I had the croquettes as appetizer. I've had croquettes inn The Netherlands and Spain. These were just meat filling and not tasty at all. The second night I had Mussaman Beef Curry. It was beef chunks in gravy . Not a semblance of curry and dreadful presentation. I have enjoyed many Mussaman beef curries from Thai restaurants in California -and this stuff was awful. The last night I had the lamb shank. I was hungry so I ate half of the meat. It was very fatty and had a gamey taste of hogget meat. Too much gravy and not enough kumara paste. I was disappointed to put it mildly. If Taupo township had been closer I would have gone there. I definitely would not recommend dining at the resort in the evening.
