Hotel Silken Ordesa

We enjoyed very much our stay... location is perfect and the personnel at the hotel are super friendly and kind. We appreciated the help of Rodrigo! We highly recommend to stay there...

Nice hotel within easy driving distance of various areas of the Ordesa national park. One should be aware, that only superior rooms on the top floor are air conditioned. Expedia’s does not offer an option to book these rooms. We were quite disappointed when we discovered this and the hotel staff was quite accommodating and moved us to the air conditioned rooms without additional charge with these rooms usually costing Eur 50/day more than the standard rooms

Obwohl das Hotel gemäß dem spanische Hotelstandard über eine 4-Sternehotelzertifizierung verfügt sind die Zimmer in der 1. und 2. Etage nicht klimatisiert.Die Zimmer verfügen über eine eine individuelle Klimaanlage, diese ist aber nach Angaben des Empfangspersonals im 1. und 2. Stockwerk niemals in Betrieb genommen worden. Etwas seltsam, da in den Zimmer die Regler der Klimaanlage sichtbar installiert sind. Auch konnten wir feststellen, dass das Restaurant und der Lobbybereich klimatisiert sind. Wir gingen davon aus, dass Expedia eine eigenes Hotelqualitätssicherungssystem hat, welches sicherstellt, dass die angebotenen Hotels auch der jeweils landestypischen Hotelkategorie entsprechen. Das war bei diesem Hotel leider nicht der Fall. Als wir per email Expedia mitteilten, dass die gebuchten Zimmer nicht über eine funktionierende Individuelle Klimaanlage verfügten agierte man überhaupt nicht. Bei Außentemperaturen von 39°C hatten wir nachmittags im Zimmer 34°C, für unsere 91-jährige pflegebedürftige Mutter eine inakzeptabler Zustand. Wird hier aus Kostengründen die Klimaanlage einfach abgestellt?? Gemäß der "Frankfurter Tabelle" hätten wir einen Preisnachlass von 15-20% fordern können. (Fehlende Klimaanlage im Zimmer). Beim Checkout erhielten wir nur ein freundliches Lächeln- die freundliche Rezeptionistin konnte uns leider nicht weiterhelfen.

We were really pleased we stayed at Silken Ordesa. We loved afternoons in the garden after walks in the Nat Park and also enjoyed an evening meal here. It is a short walk into Torla where there are restaurants to eat at as well. We had a room on the top floor. It was a good size - handy when staying for several nights. The only issue was that we couldn’t work out how to open the window - and the aircon did not cool the room very much. We should have asked at reception about these but were too busy enjoying the area!!

El trato fue inmejorable, la comida muy bien, tanto el bufet del desayuno como la cena.

Fantastic hotel in equally fantastic surroundings, i will recommend this to anyone who is visiting the area!

RICO SUAVE! I've traveled all through Europe, the gentleman that greeted us and check us in is one of the most personable, sincerely friendly without being intrusive person in his position I've come across in a long time. Others in the industry should take notice and try to emulate him! Management should reward him!! His English teacher mother taught him not only how to speak the language well but also a few manners and how to welcome others. The whole staff was accommodating. Good dinner! Good location! Good value! Stay here!!!
