Easy check-in and check-out. Affordable price and location close to our relatives.

There was a strong smell coming from the bathroom. We had to keep the bathroom door closed w a towel under the door to keep it at bay. The bed frame was for a larger bed, so there were metal hooks that caught your ankles on 1 bed. The other bed was pressed up against the A/C. The remodel was nice but the door leading outside was too small for the door jam, leaving a gap on 3 sides which made road noises really noticeable.

On the outside Muir Lodge Motel is unassuming. It is on a street with lots of traffic during the day. Inside, it's a different story. Very clean, with faux wood floors (no hard-to-clean carpet) and spotless new stylish sinks and tiled shower/tub. A free city shuttle bus from the Amtrak station and historic downtown Martinez stops right at the motel.
