Lovely rooms, friendly staff and brilliant breakfasts

Room 8. Freezing cold, cob webs, spluttering shower, but most of all absolutely freezing. We did ask and get given a heater but only after wed been in bed fully clothed to try to warm up. Evening meal was ok but why put the worst chips on top of the pile? Cooked breakfast was salty. As youve guessed wouldn't use again. Cooked beakfast was very salty.

Beautiful place to stay very peaceful gorgeous food comfy room and bed will definitely be returning:-)

Arrived late and was given a meal even though the restaurant had closed, which was very much appreciated. First night was spoiled by a fellow guest talking on their phone in the quadrangle outside until well beyond bedtime. Good breakfast, excellent service, and excellent wi-fi. Very difficult to find - defeated sat nav - but would stay again now I know where it is.

Lovely hidden gem. Great welcome, nice room, fabulous food and good local ales. Shame they had run out of fish and chips but plenty of other choices.
