Comfortable room and bed. Breakfast cooked to order- lovely field mushrooms. Dinner acceptable. Staff were lovely

Room not serviced, although no problem getting additional milk, teabags. This property is in serious need of a revamp, inside and out.No yogurt or fruit at breakfast, dead flowers on the well worn tables. Little choice of desserts. No idea who the owners were.

Breakfast was minimal for a 4 star property. We had to ask for what we wanted. Nothing provided for choice. That was unusual for us.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Full English breakfast was great. The bedroom was a good size and recently decorated. Our dogs were welcomed. We were not disturbed by being over a pub and their evening food was great too. I made a mistake with my booking and this was helpfully accommodated by the Inn.

The pub itself is desperately in need of money to be spent on the fabric of the building and the furnishings within. Seats were covered in stains and the carpets were well past their best. The windows look like they would be drafty in winter but no problems in our bedroom itself (except a few more carpet stains).

The inn has character, the room was quiet and comfortable, with great beers on tap, superb breakfast and on-site parking.

It’s difficult to keep somewhere of this size in tip-top condition, so some areas were looking a little tired.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a lovely puzza on the first night of our stay which excellent.

The hotel could do with a bit of refurbishment in places. The wooden sash windows were in need of replacement but it was all very clean.

Breakfast great but a shame no alternative spread just butter

Lovely village setting , close to all Torbay coastal spots and River Dart beauty and cultural sites ; great pub with excellent beers and evening menu . Breakfast was cooked to order and superb. Staff friendly . Fab music quiz on Sunday evening.
