Westwood House

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Westwood House. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, they really made our stay extra special. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely delicious! We’d recommend a stay at Westwood House to anybody staying in the area.

Top floor suite - excellent breakfasts - could not fault Hosts - perfect

Karl and Joscelyn were the most fantastic hosts, welcoming and friendly. The location is very central and the quality of our stay was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and Karl went out of his way to share knowledge about the local area to help us plan our activities. We couldn’t recommend staying with them enough.

Karl and Jocelyn were excellent hosts who were very welcoming and helpful. We were really impressed by their flexibility and helpfulness. The room and facilities were great and the breakfast was excellent, served in their lovely new purpose built extension. The hotel is in a geat part of town and, even though on a main road, very quiet. The bathroom has a lovely bath and seperate shower. The suite is formed of two rooms, a bedroom with a large, comfy double bed and an adjoined room with a 3 seat sofa, an armchair and a large TV with drink making facilities and a decent sized fridge. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would use again.

If I was to criticise in any way it would be to say that the bathroom is seperate from the room, albeit contained on your own floor, but it does make you concious that someone may come upstairs accidentally while you are between bathroom and the suite. I would have felt happier if the door at the top of the stairs was lockable to prevent this. The suite we stayed in was on the top floor of the lovely old building with 54 steep stairs to get to it. Not much that can be done about it, but buyer beware.

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay at Westwood House. Lovely big cosy bed and room. Great facilities and a delicious breakfast. Thank you!

Karl and Jocelyn were the perfect hosts. Made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was wonderful and they were very happy to accommodate our coeliac,vegetarian request.Would highly recommend and would definitely revisit.

Karl & Jocelyn are fantastic, friendly hosts and the breakfasts they serve are always great. It's that personal touch that makes this one of the best places to stay in Dorchester - a far cry from other chain hotels in the area.
