"Freindly service and a delicious breakfast"

8.0

it was a quiet night for the hotel and so I got very personalised service, which was great. With a limited menu on offer that evening I enjoyed a good burger, made to the hotel's own recipe by a local butcher. It was pretty good. Breakfast was as good as I could have hoped for. Fresh fruit, cereals and yoghurt, and a freshly cooked breakfast with local sausage, bacon, black pudding and eggs. Delicious. All for a very good price. I'd go back

"no admittance after 24:00"

2.0

For a hotel that boats to be "much more than a Snowdonia Hotel" I was extremely upset to be told that I could not get back into the hotel after 12.00 even if I checked in before the 11.00pm cut off. I was told that they do not give keys to guests as they are not a hotel but a guest house!!!! So be warned if you don't want an early night don't stay here.

"Amazing location, friendly staff, incredible food!"

10.0

Had a lovely last minute stay. Hotel is literally steps from the beginning of the Cadair Idris walks. Food was absolutely exceptional and a great selection of local welsh beers. Highly recommended!

"Beautiful views close to Tywyn"

8.0

We arrived later than expected (8.45pm) on a Friday after the hotel had finished serving and there was nowhere within a 20 minute drive where we could get food. We were offered a choice if pringles, nuts, cake and a drink from the bar which we could buy to stave our hunger. Boy were we were ready for our superb breakfast the following morning. The hotel and rooms were clean, well equipped and the beds comfy (just a bit creaky) and we did have a good night's sleep. However, we couldn't get a WiFi or mobile signal. For us this wasn't a problem but it is worth mentioning. There was no TV in the room but this also did not bother us. It is a good idea to select from the menu as it is, rather than requesting adjustments. It makes life a lot easier for everyone. If you have certain dietary requirements or likes / dislikes, I would mention them at time of booking so they are well prepared. We would definitely be happy to stay again and perhaps explore the area a bit more. We only stayed a single night as we were participating in the annual Tywyn "Race the train" event - a great event. 😀

"Great little base for a walk."

10.0

Just what my son and I were looking for as a base for a trip up the mountain five minutes away from the door. Very clean, great host, well presented and good food.

"Great hotel"

10.0

Great hotel, tucked away in a welsh hillside. This hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodation with the benefit of a great restaurant offering good home cooked food. The only downside is that WiFi is almost non-existent but that’s a small price to pay considering the great location and views.
