"All excellent"

Superb location scenically. A bit of an issue if one wishes to dine away from the hotel. Roads are a bit tricky

"Make sure you are in the Villa"

The Villa Accommodation is lovely 5 Star and is what is shown in most of the photographs on the websites The Hotel Accommodation is AWFUL - not even 3 star. We booked what we thought was a deluxe room in the Villa, but runs out was in the Hotel. We had to upgrade at 70 euros per night because the Hotel room was very poor, no bath in the bathroom, no view. Buyer beware - check you are in Villa Ottone not Hotel Villa Ottone. Also booked through Expedia and that turned out to be £25/ night more expensive than booking direct would have been. Once in the Villa accommodation the holiday was fabulous. Sea view, Piano playing on the veranda in the evenings - Wonderful. Reception staff were poor - All other staff were lovely. It's a shame to write a review like this, but I dont want others to make the same mistakes as us.

"Beautiful villa on beach looking at Portoferraio"

Very nice property with everything you need right there..staff very nice and attentative to every detail to make your stay special. Wonderful property and location for stays on Isola d'Elba
