Budavar Bed and Breakfast

I really liked that the room was very large, spacious, and comfortable. The bathroom was also big and roomy, which made the stay much more comfortable. I especially liked that Room 4 has a balcony — it’s definitely worth it and adds a lot to the experience. The pension owner was kind and friendly. Although I felt cold during the first two days, after I mentioned it, he explained on the third morning that there was heating in the room and brought me the remote control. Once the heating was on, it really improved my stay and upgraded the whole experience.

I did not like that during the first two days, when I complained about being very cold, I was told that nothing could be done. As a result, I was extremely cold for two days. Then, on the third day, I don’t know what changed, but the owner suddenly said that there was heating in the room and brought me the remote control. Once it was turned on, it worked well — but if my request had been addressed earlier, the experience would have been much better. I also did not like that the refrigerator did not work at all. Even after I asked about it, I was told that everything was fine, but it turned out the fridge was broken and it was never fixed during my stay. This meant there was no usable refrigerator, which is a significant downside. Regarding the location: for those looking to stay in the Old Town area and be close to attractions near the Fisherman’s Bastion, the location is perfect. However, for anyone planning to spend time on the Pest side, the location is not very convenient and feels quite far, especially at night when public transportation is limited. There is a bus about a 5-minute walk away, and a tram stop that requires a longer walk with stairs, around 12 minutes. If you’re focusing on the Buda side, the location is ideal — otherwise, it may not be the best choice.

Είχαμε μια εξαιρετική διαμονή στο Budavar bed and breakfast. Επισκέφτηκαμε το κατάλυμα τον Δεκέμβρη και τα δωμάτια ήταν πολύ ζεστά και άνετα. Το στυλ είναι όπως στις φωτογραφίες, φαίνεται παλιό αλλά η καθαριότητα είναι σίγουρη και το κλίμα εξαιρετικό. Το πρωινό που προσφέρεται είναι επίσης πολύ ικανοποιητικο, έχει διάφορες επιλογές για να διαλέξεις είτε θέλεις κάτι γλυκό είτε κάτι αλμυρό όπως και το ρόφημα. Ο Βίκτορ ήταν ευγενεστατος, φιλικός και εξυπηρετικός με διάθεση να βοηθήσει σε ότι χρειαστείτε. Η τοποθεσία είναι εξαιρετική, υπέροχη θέα, χωρίς φασαρία, δίπλα στα περισσότερα αξιοθέατα της Βούδας και με συγκοινωνίες που βολεύουν. Στα θετικά προστίθεται ότι μετά το check out, μπορούσαμε να αφήσουμε τα πράγματα μας στην ρεσεψιόν και μπορέσαμε να ευχαριστήθουμε την βόλτα μας πριν να έρθει η ώρα να πάμε στο αεροδρόμιο. Μην διστασετε να το κλείσετε, σίγουρα θα το συνιστούσαμε και θα το ξαναεπιλεγαμε σε ταξίδι μας στην Βουδαπέστη. Ευχαριστούμε για όλα

Location is superb: quiet, nice view, within walking distance to the touristic centre and in close proximity to bus and metro lines (there are a lot of steps, however, when going to metro station, but it is what it is ☺️) Rooms are very clean and the heating was excellent. Our host is very friendly and communication was very good too. Definitely this is a place we will come back to.

Milý majitel, poměrně čisto, velký rodinný pokoj, penzion hned u Rybářské bašty.

Velice tvrdé a nepohodlné polštáře a slabé snídaně, na těch by chtělo zapracovat.

Excellent accommodation in excellent location. Very close to Fisherman's bastion, view of Parliament from the room. Good options for public transport. Comfortable, well heated room. Perfect communication, very good breakfast. We enjoyed every single day.

Viktor es encantador. Estuvo pendiente de nuestra llegada a la estancia, nos facilito indicaciones des de el aeropuerto al alojamiento y nos pidio ara un taxi de madrugada para volver al aeropuerto.

The room is really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was simple but definitely will meet your needs, it's like having breakfast at home.

The location is awesome, but you shall know that there will be alot of steps to reach the location in case you were not traveling light like ourselves
