Gudvangen Fjordtell

L’emplacement au bord de fjord, tout près du port. La chambre spacieuse, à la déco viking, amusante. Personnel accueillant. Le dîner pris au restaurant était goûteux.

The location is absolutely stunning, set by the fjord and surrounded by mountains. The dinner was very good, and the views of the surrounding landscape were truly amazing. The waterfalls, in particular, added a beautiful and distinctive touch to the overall experience. Breakfast was ok, not copious like many Norwegian hotels, but good in taste.

The room was clean and comfortable overall. However, we were unable to fully close the skylight blind, which allowed external light to enter the room. This made it difficult to see the stars and was somewhat disturbing during the night. There was also a noticeable “wood” smell in the room, which felt a bit unusual, although it did not affect cleanliness. Lastly, the staff were polite, but they did not always have sufficient information to assist us when needed. Overall, a pleasant stay, but with some areas for improvement.

Easy check-in and friendly staff. Room is a little funky with a 'Viking' theme which reflects Gudvangen's history. Breakfast excellent with all usual hot & cold choices available including a waffle maker. Plus a very good restaurant. Recommended.

A little hard to find and limited parking. Very close to an industrial ship loading site which was a little noisy until late into the evening. The 'Viking' theme would not suit everyone, and a large skylight in the bedroom meant it was light from 4am. So an eye-shade recommended for sleeping if there during longer-daylight periods of the year.

Stunning views. Character of the building.

Breakfast was good with lots of options and a coffee machine for espresso. The room was decorated nicely in viking decor. The view was amazing. There was a window in roof so you could see the mountains from the room. A Joker convenient store is nearby for snacks and drinks as well as fresh produce. Plenty of options for food as well. We enjoyed the VIKING EXPERIENCE. There were hiking trails, fjord cruises, kayaking, and a sauna.

The tv wouldn’t cast my Netflix but we were able to find something to watch.

Het was een mooi schoon appartement. Handig dat er een keukentje in zat. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed.

Het is een relatief dure locatie voor een basic appartement, maar dat zal vast aan de ligging liggen.
