Property Notes

Kindly note the there are 6 steps up to the front door and 12 steps down to the breakfast room which is not accessible by the elevator. Therefore it may not be suitable for guests with mobility impairment. ACCESSIBILITY - The Riviera Town House is a 200 year old town house in the center of Scarborough. Due to the age of the building some guests may experience difficulty navigating the stairways to the 'Breakfast Room' and to the front door. There are 6 steps up to the front door. There are 12 steps down to the 'Breakfast Room' which the elevator does not access. There are also further internal steps/stairs which may be difficult to navigate. The passenger elevator is from the ground floor to all bedrooms. Our property may not be suitable for guests who have walking difficulties. Please contact us directly should you require more information. PARKING - There is on street parking in the square outside the property. Sat Nav YO11 2ES [what3words:///care.farms.ticket]. Please obtain a parking scratch card from Reception for £7.00 which is valid for the day of purchase and until 1.30p.m. the following day. Blue badge holders may park in this area free of charge. There are also several multi story car parks very close to the property ranging in price up to £12 for 24 hours. e.g. Palm Court Multi Story. Sat Nav YO11 2PS [what3words:///clean.herb.thinks]. Reservation is not possible in any of the above, however, guests should to be able to park happily in one of options.This property does not accommodate bachelor(ette) or similar parties. Perfect location, staff were so friendly, bed and pillows extremely comfortable

The cleanliness of the room could of been better, we had hairs on top of the duvet and one inside the bed

Location is excellent parking out side the hotel did wait a little while to get a parking space £7 for a parking permit good value for 1 night Staff are extremely attractive warm welcoming and friendly. On first impression hotel looks very maintained and welcoming a lovely old victorian building.

Unfortunately for us our experience. The room was very small . Ensuite very small. The bed was uncomfortable due to realising when getting into the bed it was on a slight slope due to the bed wheels were either missing or were pushed up into the base ? Pillows extremely soft not our preference each to their own so didn't have a good night's sleep . Unfortunately heating came on at some point in the night so made the room very stuffy no way of turning this off not our preference to have heating on there was a fan in the room so could have that on and opened windows. Paid for breakfast , breakfast room set out lovely like an old tea room style, staff were excellent very polite and attentive very good selection of juices cereals fruits and yoghurt Plentiful teas and coffees, but unfortunately the Cooked breakfast wasn't very nice hard overcooked bacon undercooked tomato the sausage had a funny taste so unfortunately didn't eat the cooked breakfast not good value for £12.50.
