Wayne Inn

Building is deliapidated, needs major updates, rooms need updating, shower was dirty, vanity was broken, floor not cleaned in area under or behind furniture. Lively at night, hard to sleep well when other guests blare music and management does nothing about it. Parking was limited and parking lot had very large pot holes throughtout. Mini fridge in room was covered in black mold speckles. Sheets and towels were stainded. Build up around the bathroom sink from not cleaning and build up on edge of sink vanity. Lights did not work properly. Toilet did not flush properly. Everytime we flushed, we had to take the back off and push the plunger down to get it fill back up with water.

The staff was really friendly and the room was clean. We appreciated that this is a pet friendly place.

Needed a place for an overnight stay. Convenient to location. Quaint little town. Overall, staff super friendly. Room provided what we needed.. somewhere to sleep with bathroom amenities. Double bed mattress was terrible and the room was small but very clean. Would stay again.

The hotel needs to be updated mold in the shower. We were nervous about sleeping in the bed that was extremely extremely uncomfortable. The whole room felt like it was just filthy. Wouldn’t walk on the floors without feet wear on.

This was, hands down, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. From the second I opened the door, I knew I had made a mistake. The air reeked like a hoarder house mixed with wet dog — thick, musty, and honestly nauseating. The floors were disgusting — covered in layers of grime, dead skin, and who-knows-what. I wouldn’t walk barefoot if my life depended on it. The bedding was clearly not washed, the bathroom was moldy, and there was grime in every crevice and surface. The caulking was black and crumbling, the furniture looked like it was pulled off the street in the ‘80s, and everything was either broken, stained, or falling apart. There were literal bloody fingerprints on the ceiling of my room. Let that sink in. The door looked like it had been kicked in multiple times — it barely closed and didn’t feel secure. The AC barely functioned, and the room had this oppressive, uncomfortable energy like something bad had happened there. Customer service was weirdly detached, like even they knew the place was a joke but didn’t care. As long as they can keep up the cheddar it’s all good to them. I can’t believe this business is allowed to operate, let alone charge people real money. I left feeling dirty, unsettled, and honestly a little disturbed. This place isn’t just outdated — it feels like it’s been abandoned by time and basic human standards. Avoid this place like your health depends on it — because it might.

Walking through the door, the first thing I see is the front panel of the sink hanging off. Then I look around to see chipped paint, dirty fingerprint smudges and drip stains on the walls. Every bathroom fixture had a ton of caulk mixed with rust and corrosion. When we turned out the light to go to sleep, we heard what I can only assume was mice scurrying across the drop ceiling panels above us. I was prepared to sleep in the car but my husband convinced me to stay as it was only one night and we were traveling all day and needed to stretch out in a bed.

Came to visit cute little town of Honesdale and stayed at The Wayne Inn. The room I stayed in was very clean, cozy and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful. The parking lot needs work but I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area. My friend and I had a good stay.
