Comfortable!

For a quick stop in the TX Panhandle on my way to Austin, it was fine for a night. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice. Note that due to COVID, they are not currently serving breakfast.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel was

If you have the option of passing through Muleshoe and not stopping, please do. Was greeted by a stained dirty carpet ... The shower curtain would not close ... The shower floor is more than 3" higher than bathroom floor with not handle for exiting ... The toilet seat did not fit the toilet ... The towels were not clean ... The bed was ancient and broken down, wires around the edges dug into my legs when getting in and out of bed ... The only chair in the room also had springs that were completely shot ... Bodily fluid stains on the walls ... All corners were scuffed ... Walls needed to be painted ... They advertise breakfast, but alas no breakfast and no refund for that portion ... After 6 Horus of driving, I had no option but to stay here. When I told the owner about the room, he said, "If the room was not to your liking, you should have told me, I would having given you a different room." Seems there are rooms that may or may not be better than the one I had.

Hotel doesn’t clean outside daily. I understand that it’s not the hotel’s fault for garage & broken bottles being left outside, but definitely something I don’t want to see. Other than that, it’s nice, quiet & safe place to stay.
