Hotel Ducale

Ons verblijf in dit hotel was helaas erg teleurstellend. De hygiëne liet veel te wensen over, er lag overal stof en de kamer voelde niet schoon aan. Daarnaast waren de foto’s op de website erg misleidend en kwam de werkelijkheid totaal niet overeen met wat werd getoond. We hadden specifiek een kamer met twee aparte bedden gereserveerd, maar kregen uiteindelijk slechts 1 bed. Bij reserveringen hoort rekening gehouden te worden met de wensen van gasten, zeker wanneer dit duidelijk is aangegeven. Ook was het ontzettend luidruchtig. Tot ongeveer 3 uur ’s nachts hoorden we constant voetstappen en geluiden vanuit andere kamers of de gang, waardoor we nauwelijks hebben kunnen slapen. Al met al was het verblijf niet prettig en zouden wij dit hotel helaas niet aanbevelen. Voor de prijs en 1 nachtje is het misschien nog te doen, verder niet.

Não tem pequeno almoço, muito barulhento pelo fraco isolamento dos quartos, não tem tão pouco uma máquina de café, no chek-out obrigam a classificar o alojamento com 5 * senão não chamam um Taxi.....enfim!

Skandaliczne warunki i lekceważąca obsługa. Omijać! „Zdecydowanie odradzam ten hotel. Problemy zaczęły się już po przylocie – wcześniej pytałem mailowo o możliwość zostawienia bagażu przed zameldowaniem i otrzymałem potwierdzenie. Na miejscu jednak usłyszałem, że skoro mam auto, to mogę sobie zostawić bagaż w samochodzie na parkingu. W pokoju było jeszcze gorzej: brudna podłoga, mrówki w łazience i prowizoryczne, niepewne zabezpieczenie drzwi balkonowych. Klimatyzacja nie działała (29 stopni w pokoju!), a recepcja poradziła mi... otwarcie drzwi na korytarz, twierdząc, że wieczorem będzie chłodniej. Ze względu na lokalizację nad lokalem z kebabem, w pokoju unosił się zapach smażeniny, a hałas z baru (czynny do 1:00 rano) oraz pobliskiej ulicy (tramwaje, autobusy) uniemożliwiał sen przy otwartym oknie. Brak profesjonalizmu i fatalne warunki higieniczne. Mam zdjęcia na potwierdzenie tego syfu.”

If you are considering this hotel, I would strongly suggest you find a different one. The positives: front desk staff spoke English and were very helpful The room appeared clean. The negatives: the photos of the hotel are very deceiving, and not at all the reality. There is no dining room, no breakfast, and you must pay for coffee. The room is so small that the door will not open all the way because it hits the small bedside table. We requested two beds, as we are two women travelling together. Upon arrival, one queen bed. Room was so small, one of us had to crawl out the foot of the bed, because there was zero space between the bed and wall. There are no amenities in the bathroom, except for one very small bar of soap. There is a shower, but you can get scrubbed just turning around. Outside the small window, is scaffolding, and no view at all. There were what I can only assume were baby elephants in the room above us. Their room must be bigger, because we could hear constant walking above us. We are not fussy travellers, but the room and hotel itself left much to be desired. I would not consider this any better than a one star.

Stayed there for one night at the start of my trip and was very comfortable. Very easy to get there from the airport (the bus drops you off right beside the hotel) and the staff were very friendly.
