We’re now plotting another excuse, anything at all, that might call for a weekend away at the BCI!

Brenda is the star of this place, very unique and experience stay

When my wife & I decided to spend a few days in the Lancaster area I did quite a bit of research on places to stay. We like the older colonial style, so we booked a few nights at the Brownstone Colonial Inn. I am very glad we did! From the second we walked in the door we felt welcomed & knew we picked the right place. The bedroom was perfect & the breakfast was excellent. Conversation around the table was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! Our hosts Brenda & Mark were very accommodating, and I especially appreciated the early morning coffee! We will definitely be back next time we're in the area. If you are planning on being in the Lancaster area, this is the place to stay!... you will not be disappointed!

The property is beautiful and the house is decorated to be comfortable and beautiful. Brenda and Mark are gracious hosts and Brenda made such wonderful breakfasts. It was such a warm and welcoming atmosphere, we cant wait to go back!

Everything you could ask for. Serenity runs deep at the Brownstone Inn. The innkeepers Brenda and Mark are warm and considerate. The rooms are immaculate. The modern amenities (shower, etc.) are new and blend seamlessly with the Shaker decor within. Brenda's breakfast was aromatic and a pleasant way to awaken, and when we couldn't manage to stay were given coffee and fritters to send us on our way. They are across the street from a farm and the cows can be seen moving about from the window of the room. The area itself is semi-rural; farms all about but the turnpike and Reading is about 20 miles away along pleasurably winding roads, many of which are probably as old as the Inn itself. Amish activities surrounded us; although we did not partake, another set of guests planned to make candles with local artisans that day. All in all, a very pleasant diversion from very busy lives.

Comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Breakfast(s) were delicious! The owners genuinely care for their guests.

Our hosts are the very best hosts in this world. The house is a meticulously maintained beautiful house, which was built before the American revolution. Everything is perfect here.

Everything was lovely. It was a unique and wonderful experience to step back in time and experience a small piece of life in the Colonial period.

We went away as our last trip before our first child is born. It was an absolutely great experience. Words can not describe Mark and Brenda’s hospitality. They truly make you feel like family.

This place has become one of our top favorite inns. We will definitely be returning with friends next time. Innkeepers Brenda and Mark are so warm and hospitable , you feel right at home. Hot Breakfast was delicious too! Cant say enough good things about this Inn!
