The Putney Inn

The housekeeping staff did a wonderful job.

The advertisement had led me to expect a very good establishment; it surprised me when I found that it was a motel that looked kind of rundown.

Very enjoyable stay

AC worked well and was relatively quiet. Very comfortable bed. Water pressure in the shower was better than I remember it being in past visits. The upgraded electronic signature system at the front desk is more user friendly than the previous system.

Could use more towels in the bathroom. The towels I had this time were smaller than I remember from prior visits. This was OK since I was the only person in the room, but if my wife had been with me this time, showering in the morning would have been "fun.". Because of the hotel's proximity to the Connecticut River, there will be a lot of bugs outside your door or around any exterior light during summer months. Keep this in mind should you need to run out to your car at night.

The owner and his wife are very nice and helpful (we were unable to find the remote to the tv). It was peaceful property. We went down to the river a few times. A bonus for us was that are dog was allowed! A very large yard to walk your dog. We will be back!

Nice, quiet spot for a night heading up to camp. Older building but kept clean and comfortable.

Location was perfect. Affordable rates
