If you’re looking for something different ,something truly special,this is the place to be. The hotel beautifully combines old-world charm with modern comfort, creating a unique and memorable experience. Every detail, from the vintage-style décor to the contemporary amenities, is thoughtfully designed. The location is excellent, the hotel is spotless, and the staff are exceptionally professional and welcoming. What really stands out is the personal touch: they even know their guests by name, which makes you feel genuinely valued and at home. A wonderful place for anyone wanting more than just a standard hotel stay.

The room was very traditional but with modern conveniences. A clawfoot bathtub and a separate shower. Antique furniture. A beautiful teapot/kettle. The location is perfect for Bellecour. We did not eat the hotel breakfast since there are sidewalk cafes nearby.

The stairs leading to the lobby were challenging with luggage {the hotel is above a row of shops). The heating and air conditioning controls were unusual!

The hotel is in an excellent location to visit all the sights of Lyon, either by walking or public transport. What makes the hotel unique is not only the hotel design and attention to detail, but the staff who are kind, welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we stayed in was like stepping back in time, but with all the modern necessities included.

Unfortunately we didn’t choose the best days to stay weather wise and found the room cold on arrival. However this was quickly rectified by staff providing a heater, blanket and slippers. It would also be useful to have a mini fridge in the room as a kettle is provided, but on collecting milk, there isn’t any where to keep it. It’s also a little awkward not having a sink next to the toilet, as in room 8, but it isn’t a massive problem as the room overall is beautiful. The small negatives really don’t detract from what is a stunning hotel with amazing staff, special mention to Stefania who is so helpful and kind.
