"absolutely amazing and good for the soul"

Absolutely stunning views. Beautiful guest house perfectly located within walking distance to the beach. The breakfast was amazing. Staff were friendly and helpful. All our rooms had stunning views. The penthouse with its outdoor area was perfect to relax, and braai. We would definitely choose Berg en Zee again.

Although I love the charm of old houses, I didn't expect the the guesthouse to be quite this old all-round. It was built in the late 1800's and in need of an upgrade/revamp inside (in progress). Listed as 4star luxury hotel but doesn't include all the facilities that a 4 star hotel usually has ie pool, resruarant, gym etc. Guesthouse located on a main road so the road can get very noisy.

"Tolles Apartment, neue Besitzer"

Wir waren nun zum dritten Mal in dieser Unterkunft. Seit dem 01.12.2025 gibt es neue Besitzer. Da beide Penthouse-Apartments frei waren, haben wir als Upgrade das größere mit der geräumigeren Terrasse erhalten. Es gibt einige positive Neuerungen, wie einen größeren Fernseher mit Netflix und eine Nespresso-Maschine. Das Frühstück sowie das Personal sind ausgezeichnet. Es ist zu erwarten, dass die neuen Besitzer die Unterkunft weiterhin aufwerten werden. Viel Erfolg dafür 🍀

"Delightful stay by the beach"

Beautiful old but well maintained house. Easy access in and out, close to the beach, aircon for the heat that works very well, blackout curtains. Good breakfast. Amazing value for money.
