Urban Hotel Amadeos

Voyage professionnel très agréable avec un hôtel très bien situé, proche de toutes les commodités et de l’océan ...

O hotel carece de estacionamento. O quarto apesar de confortável, era bastante propenso a ruídos externos e o mini-bar, por si só, era também bastante barulhento. À parte disso, está bem localizado e o staff foi sempre correto.

Good clean accommodation located in the centre of Matosinhos with a Metro Station very nearby.

It was a last minute booking. Found it to be fine. Only complaint was there was too much chlorine used in the water. Even the linens smelled of chlorine. yherw, it was a clean room and close to the beach which was nice for walking.

I've been there for a business trip of one week. Nothing fancy but you basically get what you're paying for. The staff was very friendly, the front desk people are helpful with no exception. The breakfast goes until 10:30am which is great (it's usually 10am, sometimes 9:30am in most hotels I've been staying in different countries). I'd recommend the croissants and the fresh fruits (kiwi, melon and watermelon, really really good). The room I stayed in the 8th floor (806) had good space and nice view to the street (sea is far but visible). However, acoustic isolation is very poor (if any) so you can hear pretty much everything happening in the street, including metro passing by. The small frige was extremely noisy, the room was under some kind of pipes system and I could hear water running in the pipes really loudly during the entire night. Room service did not actually cleaned the room, it was more like making the bad and exchanging the towels (maybe). The location right by metro station (Camara de Matosinhos) helps a lot, you've got also different restaurants (burger king side by side with the hotel), bakeries and ATM (Multibanco) very close to the pace. Overall was an average experience except for all the noise but, as in a business trip location is really important, I'd stay there again in the future however I'd try a different room/floor.

The staff were very accomodating and even helping us plan our trips and excursions in the local areas. Honestly chats with the staff at the bar we great especially after a long day. Our fridge stoped working and they had it fixed in the hour . Includng the safe which wouldnt accept the key. The efficiency was great. Room was always cleaned to perfection everyday which surprised us because we thought tgey would only tidy up.

Great location, could have more vegetarian choice for breakfast.

We had a terrible flight schedule for arrival and departure for our vacation in Northern Portugal, and the hotel was close to the airport and reasonably priced. Taxi fair was 15 Euros, although it's right next door to the metro station and would definitely use if open. It does not advertise any parking, but right behind the hotel is an alley with access to a huge free car park, if you have a rental car. Price was reasonable at under 50 Euros. Would not have been happy to pay much more as the room itself was very basic and utilitarian. Noisey if window open. However, the location is perfect, very easy to get into Porto by metro, area felt very safe, lots of stores, restaurants, banks etc. Enjoyed the chestnuts being roasted right outside. Also would highly recommend a local restaurant, we had an amazing meal, Restaurante Lage do Senhor do Padrao. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful. We want to explore this area of Portugal again and spend more time in Porto and would use this hotel as a base.
