This B&B appears to be in a modified private home. It is in a modern, recently-built part of Rovinj, and would not be convenient unless you had a car There seemed to be quite a few B&Bs of this type scattered about the suburbs, which I prefer to being segregated into areas designed solely for tourists. That said, driving into the old part of town or to the beach was straightforward and parking reasonably cheap and available, at least in mid-September. The room itself was fairly large and comfortable, with room for a sofa as well as a bed. The bright citrus colors of the decor may not have been to everyone's taste, but you could not call them bland. The breakfast was better than average, and served in a large, airy room. There was no wi-fi available to clients and none that we could find nearby; we had to go to the tourist-oriented parts of town to use the internet, but this seems to be standard here.

This Pension should actually be quoted as a 3 star Hotel in minimun,g due to the great service, cleanliness and lovely personal attention by the owner family (with multilingual attention). We got a cool doubleroom with a hugh terrace on the 3rd floor, overviewing the whole environment. The rooms offer air cond (very important in August), a fridge, hair dryer and TV, comfortable beds and nice bathroom. At the daily delicious homemade breakfasts we did not miss anything! Free parking infront the house ! Great situation, in a quiet peaceful residential villa area, close to one of Rovinjs beach and sightseeings (in any case you will need a car), and just 25 min driving distance to Porec and Pula for other sigtseeings or beach-days. The Pension is a bit hidden, its not easy to find it on first sight, but very attentive neighbours living in the same area where nice enough to help us. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Hotel description on Internet was accurate and without exaggeration. Rooms - very clean and comfortable, equiped with SAT/TV and A/C, hair dryer and safe - nice little (free of charge) extras. Location - short walk (7-8 min) to beach Cuvi surrounded by pine forrest, 20-25 minutes walk to centre - distance about 1,5 km (warning: it is difficult to find a parking space in the centre). Breakfast was pretty good: self-service and varios. Nice town and nice hotel for a really nice vacation!

We booked the Pansion Comfort Exclusive because it claimed to be a short walk from the historic center of Rovinj. That is simply not true. If anything, it would be a very difficult 25 minute walk to town (downhill) and a horrible 40 minute walk back (uphill). On top of that, while the hotel itself isn't in a bad neighborhood, it is surrounded by neighborhoods I would not walk through in the daytime, much less at night. Claiming this as close to town is bait-and-switch at best. After finding the hotel, we immediately decided to stay near town--and were lucky to find the Hotel Park. Avoid this property.
