Le Clos d'Amboise

Wonderful hotel set in a lovely garden with a great location to explore Amboise. Our room was within the outside annex with our door opening onto the garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although the breakfast was good, we thought it a little expensive. But overall, we would 100% recommend this hotel if you visit Amboise.

Fantastic dog friendly hotel set in lovely grounds with a perfect location to explore Amboise. We had an annex room with our door opening out onto the garden. The room had everything we needed including a spacious bathroom. The staff were very friendly too.

Breakfast price was expensive, there was not enough milk/powdered milk in the room with the tea/coffee making facilities. There was only enough milk for 1 drink each on the day of our arrival.

Tout était parfait et, en cette période de l'année, le rapport qualité prix était exceptionnel ! Nous y retournerons certainement.

I often travel with small groups and need a hotel that is high quality, walking distance to city center, comfortable and gracious, and reasonably priced. Hotel Le Clos d’Amboise checks all those boxes, and has a wonderful staff with excellent email communication in advance of your stay.

je voelt je even terug in de tijd hoe het zou zijn om te wonen in een schitterend herenhuis. Alles is zoveel mogelijk in stijl gehouden en in goede staat. Blinkend schoon en tocht vrij.

Misschien wat minder snuisterijen, spiegels en lampjes, als je de helft weg zou gooien is het nog altijd vol genoeg. Dan is er vast ook plaats voor een een wat groter bed. En jammer dat het restaurant niet geopend was.

Мебель красивая, такой замковый антураж, но спали как на улице, с закрытым окном задохнешься, с открытым как на дороге. Номер вроде большой, но так заставлен мебелью, что чемодан не развернуть толком. Я не рекомендую, не отдохнешь. Парковка есть, бесплатная, это конечно утешило) Санузел хороший. На завтраке тот же антураж, посуда красивая, сервировка достойная, но по факту все как везде: омлет, сыры, нарезка, йогурты и кофе не вкусный в термосе был, блины не понравились( 20 евро дороговато для их буфета Но нам было главнее выспаться в путешествии.

Душно в номере, шумно, ночью люди в с чемоданами выселялись, по лестнице проволокли свой багаж, я проснулась в страхе от грохота,шумоизоляция в номере «комфорт» отсутствует со всех сторон, а нам при заселении сказали, что они нам бесплатно повысили номер до комфорта, мы когда в номер пришли, услышали звуки с дороги, попросили вернуть на наш номер не «комфорт», то что мы бронировали, сказали, что нет в наличии.

Lovely hotel with a very kind and helpful staff (arranged taxis for us before we arrived and when leaving, scrambled to get a mobile phone we'd left behind to us at the train station before our train left).
