Good hotel and good service

Excellent hotel with very good facilities and location

We paid full price for a room at this hotel; never again! Everything was the quality of a youth hostel, except for the breakfast. Stinky tiles in the toilet, thin,old towels, dirty carpet, torn curtain, etc... and outside of our window (room 110) was an exhaust fan running. I slept perhaps, 3 hours that night, and had a busy day following. Was not a good experience!

Good service, excellent for short trips and meetings

Rooms in this hotel are very dated. Tears in wallpaper, carpet not clean. Rooms are very bare as to facilities, no hair dryer, no kettle, very few wall outlets, older equipment, don't look very inviting. No fridge or mini-bar. The bathroom has an open shower with weak water pressure, spatters everywhere; the small mirror is positioned so high that people less than 1.60 m tall cannot use it - my wife had to stand on a chair. Common areas downstairs (reception, lounge, restaurant) are nicely done though. It is noisy in the room areas; hallways and corridors have laminate floors, you hear every step, the walls are thin. Wifi works on and off through a KPN hotspot, weak to average signal, even in the bar. Cleaning was not good in the room - we reported this to reception. Breakfast buffet is ok, although if something runs out you need to ask for it - they are not very quick with refills - do not arrive late. Reception staff are however very friendly, they offered us a bottle of wine for the inconveniences encountered. Travellers to this hotel are offered to make use of the swimming pool and sauna of the sister hotel Fletcher de Scheperskamp which is only 100 to 150 m away, but there is no path towards it - you can see it through the woods, but getting there will be a challenge. The rooms in this hotel are ready for a renovation.

Verblijf was prettig, goede service, maar matige voorzieningen.Geen koelkast op kamer, geen waterkoker, gehorige kamers en staat van interieur had niets over.

For a short stay, this is a good hotel. It's a bit out of the centre of Lochem, but in a woody environment. So if you like to walk, there's plenty of outdoor activities availble. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms simple but good for a short stay.

A warm and friendly welcome is definitely what we got at this hotel. The staff were very attentive and concerned that visitors have an enjoyable stay. We were with a coach party having inclusive dinners I would have been happy with the quality of the food had I been paying more. Everything was fresh and well presented. The room we had was clean and spacious though simple. Everything worked efficiently, especially the heating and the insect nets on the windows were a good touch even if not essential at this time of year.
