The location is perfect, right on the ocean and in the very centre of the city with cosy restaurants and 24 hours open market in close proximity. In 20 mnts walk from V&A Waterfront. The apartment is spacious and full of light equipped with all necessary equipment. There is a promenade in front of the apartment for the morning and evening walks. I was anxious about check-in process having read the reviews, but for us it was a quick and smooth. You just need to fill in the forms shared by host in advance. Chairmaine, our host who greeted us at the apartment was very helpful and accommodating. She was easy to reach during the day and quickly responded to our queries. We spent incredible three days in this apartment. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of waves was an unforgettable experience. We watched sunset from our windows. I would stay there if I return to CPT again.

It was a bit cool in the apartment in the mornings. We visited in Feb. There is a one time late arrival fee of usd 16. We received numerous messages sent automatically as I understand and it was confusing.

Complicated and inflexible in person check-in

This is a large, well appointed unit with superb (5th floor) views in one of the best waterfront locations in Green Point. The Esplanade promenade is out front and Green Point Park is out the back. It has everything you need for a long and comfy stay.

The undercover car parking is very tight. A large vehicle would need to remain on the street. Only after you book does the third party agent tell you that R300 is charged if you arrive late (i.e. after 6pm). So, effectively you have only 2pm to 6pm to check in and avoid a penalty! Booking.com needs to get this info up front when using third party agents.

The location. It’s close to most places of interest by taxi. The apartment is large and spacious. The balcony is great and you can sit outside and watch the ocean. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfy. There was a lovely bottle of wine to welcome us and it was a nice surprise. Everything was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the apartment but for the few things listed down below which could have made the stay a 10/10.

The doors facing the ocean like the ones in the hall and the master bedroom do not keep the cold wind out. As a result the room and house is COLDER in the night. We were very cold at night and had to buy tape to tape up the gap between the doors . There is only one heater in the second room and not in any other room. There is no electric blanket and in winter every other apartment we stayed in had in every bedroom. We really missed that. We stayed for three nights but we got only two washing machine pods and two dish washer pods. On requesting them we were told it’s a policy and they didn’t make an exception despite asking if we can pay for it . So please carry extra if u plan on staying longer. They will not help. The bathrooms are a bit small. There is no nespresso machine , only filter coffee available. You will need to carry sugar salt pepper as well.

The apartment is in a great location with a spectacular view. Communication was brilliant! We would most definitely book this home again in the future. Joan who met us at the apartment was lovely. Everything was explained clearly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
