Beautiful location and dog friendly.great view from room.Good food except the rice pudding

Being woken up at 6.30 am with slamming doors and radio news from the kitchen below.Shower blocked and overflowed into the bathroom-was offered a free drink for this which I accepted and then got charged for it on the bill

"We enjoyed a very pleasant stay in the company of old friends."

The property was very well situated for exploring Hadrian‘s Wall and Carlisle and had delightful grounds. Our room was comfortable with lovely views. We thought the menus gave a wide choice and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A minor quibble was that we had to leave the main building and go outside to get to our bedroom.

"A perfect, peaceful retreat."

It was really and truly dog friendly, not just a place which allowed dogs in the room - with a whole sets of rules stating no dogs on the furniture, nor in the communal areas, nor in the breakfast area, etc, etc. My dog was allowed wherever I was allowed to go and that was fantastic! So many thanks Warwick Hall. They had thoughtfully provided blankets to cover chairs and towels for muddy paws. It was also in a beautiful location with a great riverside walk on their grounds.
