Hotel Kervansaray Canakkale - Special Class

Very friendly and helpful staff; good rates; free parking was great given its location on a narrow one-way street. English was spoken and the room had character. The indoor garden was great but weather not good enough to have breakfast outside. Street can be noisy so bring those earplugs. Would recommend it.

This hotel could be charming but our room (The Sultan) was on 3 levels with very dangerous stairs (Impossible to get up our lugage in the bedroom on the 2nd floor). It was impossible to lock the door of the room without an help of the staff.

The hotel has a wonderful courtyard to sit, read, and drink tea in. The staff was helpful and polite and provided good directions. The breakfast was okay but would have rather spent the 10 euros elsewhere for a better breakfast. The room was small, and the air conditioner blew right onto our bed so we were either freezing or too hot. Eventually we opened the windows instead of the A/C but only 1 window of 3 had screens, so we ended up with bug bites. The shower is incredibly cramped, and I would say impossible to get in/out if you're not very agile.

Good location and friendly staff. Cheap car parking next door. Matresses a bit hard and poorly padded and curtains let in a lot of light. Great location near the harbour, restaraunts and nightlife. Reasonable price. Breakfast was OK but have had better in Turkey at similar price points.
