Hideaways Exuma

The ladies at the front desk were awesome. Rita, Cindy and Annette. They were helpful and very cheerful every time I asked a question or had a need. Loved the paddleboard access and beach. I had an efficiency so it was nice to have dishes, pots and pans, stovetop, microwave, full size refrigerator. Restaurant dinner food was good. Breakfast was weak - I had a quiche and potatoes that were both barely warm so only had breakfast once and did other days in my room. Liked being able to walk to Jolly Hall Beach which was prettier than beach in front of hotel. They also offer a shuttle to town which I did not use but I thought was a nice amenity. The rooms are not fancy but they definitely have all you need. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reasonably priced accommodations on the beach. They also helped with my taxi which was $30 from the airport and about 10-15 minutes. The driver will stop at the market to pick up provisions.

I did have some noise in my room. I could hear the people above me walking around in the evening and the A/C split was a little noisy in the bedroom.

The staff was very friendly and accomodating, the pool was very nice, location, beach, and value were fantastic. View from my room was wonderful. I am a woman, was traveling alone, and felt safe

My room was average. I was on the Hilltop. I am fit, but if someone had mobility limitations, it would be a difficult walk up the hill. The floor in my bathroom gave when walked on. I had it checked and was told it was loose tiles, nothing to fix during my stay, but it was unsettling for the floor to move.

great property! Staff were super nice and helped us book our full day excursion to the pigs, sharks, sandbar, and more. Having the splash bar restaurant on site was great to come back and end the day conviently and uniquely for dinner. beach side cottage was great, although we only had a partial ocean view and if I were to book again I might choose the more affordable cottages on the other side of the street.

We are just leaving after a lovely week at Hideaway’s. We stayed in #14 beachside ocean view. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Splash was nice for breakfast. Guest services was helpful arranging a massage, and a a car rental. If you need anything during your stay go find Marvin! He’s the man! So friendly, knowledgeable and takes pride in his work. I can’t say enough positive things about him! We took advantage of the easy shuttle service that comes with Hideaways. Between that and the water taxi you don’t really need a car, but it’s a nice to have to see the whole island including little Exuma. Hideaway’s is a great accommodation with a beautiful beach and nice snorkeling right out front.

We had the worst mattress ever. Like sleeping on concrete.

This is a lovely group of modestly priced little cottages by the bay. Easy kayaking, paddle boarding and snorkeling provided. Plan to eat and drink away from the bar (Splash) because they really water down their drinks. The food there is “ok,” but there’s better offerings within a few minutes drive.

What was not to like is more the question.😊 The location couldn't be beat with its own beautiful beachfront plus peaceful connecting beaches to roam. Sea swimming was exceptional. The free use of kayaks and paddleboards was wonderful. Above all, the members of the staff were exceptional in friendliness, courtesy and helpfulness.

For us, there was nothing not like.

The staff really made our stay one that we will never forget, Marvin and Bree went above and beyond!

Clean, comfortable and spacious. I will be back.

Loved staying here. Can't wait to go back.
