Folies Corfu Hotel Apartments

Vi havde en enkelt overnatning i forbindelse med en tidlig afgang fra lufthavnen. Hotellet ligger super i forhold til lufthavn og de sørgede for en taxi. Værelset er klart af ældre dato og meget du dunkelt. Fint til en enkelt overnatning men ville ikke bo der længere

Fantastic, spacious, comfortable accommodation in a non-tourist area (which meant food, drinks etc could be purchased much more cheaply than in Corfu Town), only slight downside was that the area was a bit rundown (authentic?) and there was some aircraft noise

The Hotel Folies is a lovely, clean, air conditioned ( inc rooms ) & well run hotel. The staff were exemplary, very friendly & very helpful. The cleaning service was excellent. The hotel's gardens are very well maintained & lovely to lie, sit it or use the pool with good bar service if required. Overall this is a great hotel, the surrounding location has a good few restaurants/souvlaki bars, the ones we would recommend are Paprika, about 300 yards from hotel, Pizza Flogas about 50 yds & Bar Portioli about 500 yards. There is a good bus service to Corfu town ( approx 10 minutes bus ride ) or a 30 minute walk approx. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Folies

Nice for one night, we were going with the ferry next day. Friendly service.

Good rooms with kitchen in a quite location. If you rent a car its a great place to stay in Corfu

Our stay at Folies was excellent. The staff were very helpful with every request. For instance, we had only booked one night at the hotel because we wanted to see if we liked it or not. It took us about five minutes to decide that we wanted to stay there for the remainder of our stay in Corfu, but the hotel was fully booked one of the nights we requested. Still that was no problem, because the hotel owned several other apartments in Corfu where they let us stay for the same price (even though it should have cost us more). The manager even gave us a ride there. - It might be a bit far (for some people) from the city center. It took us about 30 minutes to walk. But the cabride is only 10 Euros. The only real problem that we had was the fact that there were a lot of mosquitos at night, so bring mosquito repellent.

We found this one by surprise on Hotel.com. We have stayed in other places on the island in the past and have not been pleased with the cleanliness or the condition of the rooms - SO, finding Folies was a wonder. For us the location was good to visit with family. It is interesting near a road, but the noise is cushioned considerably by the lovely gardens around. The staff were fantastic, and helpful. Our room was cleaned every morning by a lovely lady, she even went as far as to ensure our nightwear was laid out beautifully. We had self catering, the little kitchen was ideal. We overlooked the pool. As it was mid September there were more older people enjoying the tranquillity of Folies. You could have breakfast by the pool if you did not want to 'Do it yourself'. Parking was fine for us. There is not much more to say, but, 'We will be back'. We go to Corfu most years to visit with family, we have found a wonderful place to stay now. Maybe I should not be telling you all this - we don't want it to become tooo busy. However, WELL DONE 'FOLIES', you are doing a great job. We booked through Hotel.com for this one.

The pool at this hotel was far too acidic, both my partner and myself came out in a rash after just a few swims, we decided not to enter the pool on the second day and the rash started to go, proper pool maintenance please
