The property is gorgeous and well maintained, but more than that the staff are the real stars! Thanks to Mazanne & Jaco for their support and creativity in planning our engagement.

We loved the garden with its orchards, our lovely room, the great food and also especially Jaco and the brilliant caring staff made our stay and a birthday weekend extra special. I will be back and really recommend this special space

Room was large and comfortable but decor and some fittings well past their best. There is road noise, which did not bother us but some may find an issue

Beautiful setting, friendly staff and spectacular bedroom. This historical gem has lost none of it's character whilst offering contemporary convenience one would expect from a top destination.

We arrived after dark and the entrance off the R60 had no light, so invisible at night. Travelling from Swellendam side Google maps indicates a left turnoff with some sort of imaginary underpass that does not exist. We would not have found the entrance if we had not been here many years ago and remembered roughly where to turn. A reflective signboard is essential from both directions.
