Westport Country Lodge Hotel

Staff, food, comfy bed, large bedroom, size of hotel -not too big, so more personal, superb views from dining room. Generally cosy and comfortable. Would go back.

Front doors could do with a lick of paint. Lighting in bedroom was soft, but a bright corner would be good for reading.

The breakfast was very nice and saff was brilliant

Lovely big family room, lots of space for 2 smallies to run around . Delicious breakfast, big selection to suit all.

First hotel Ive ever been to where the temperature wasnt stiflingly hot so i actually slept instead of tossing about needing cool and air. The bed was very comfy and the facilities grand. The out of the way location was great

the shower would suddenly go scolding and then ebb off, repeatedly. The room neighbours were exceptionally noisy, coming in in the middle of the night, shouting, knocking on doors. the shouting started up again first thing next morning. (I appredciate that this is not the hotel's fault but it spoiled our visit somewhat)The breakfast could have been better tbh esp as a vegetarian. The liquidation sale meant the hallway was clattered and noisy, we struggled to get out of the carpark.

The bathroom had 2 dirty unwashed glasses in it with toothpaste covering on each which made me feel a bit questionable about the cleanness

I have to admit I never came across this hotel before, but to say it is a gem of a hotel, excellent & lovely staff and a beautiful place to stay. Loved it !
