Hotel Sunroute Aomori

It doesn’t seem like this hotel has been updated in the last 30 years or so. Service is friendly and location is good but the rooms are tiny and outdated.

One night stand, not bad. Old but clean. Staff very helpful.

This was a good hotel with traditional Japanese rooms and Western style rooms. We stayed in the traditional Japanese room and it was clean and comfortable if you're used to the floor futon. The hotel is located in a small traditional Japanese town. There's not that much to do unless you're there to explore the countryside.

Friendly staff, even though some did not speak much English, it was perfect. It's conveniently near to the Aomori station, about 2 blocks. We visited in winter and it was snowing a lot, but there was no problem getting there. About a 5 minute walk. The room was perfectly okay, it just had a slightly weird smell.

Location of hotel is good as it is just 5 Min away from railway station and the restaurants and amenities. However, hotel offers just motel standard accommodation with a good breakfast, as well as clean and relatively large rooms.

Best Japanese breakfast in 25 day holiday. Scallops Sukiyaki and scallops deep fried. Good variety of dishes includes toast for the unadventurous. Seniors can travel!
