Velero Beach Resort

Fantastic sweeping view from restaurant of sea and entire coastline of town. Good food, friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast choices. We LOVED that the breakfast stayed open until 11am! It felt very secure. There is really no beach to speak of right there due to beach erosion, but we knew this from other reviews. Nice ocean front pool. Secure parking area. Short 10 minutes walk to heart of town/beachfront. Janet's supermarket was a 3 minute walk away. Good place to get purified water for $2/4 liters, cold beers, and whatever else you need. They also exchange money at a good rate.

Music at restaurant for dinner was very dated American music. I would prefer local music, Salsa etc.

Very quiet and cozy hotel, spacious junior suite, lovely pool with a nice sea breeze, excellent restaurant with the best food we had during our trip around the country, friendly and helpful staff. Even while the hotel itself looks a bit dated from the outside, they made the best out of it with a well kept, beautiful garden and excellent service.

If they built a pedestrian wood bridge along the waterway to the nearby sandy beach, the place would be perfect. Now you have to walk a not very attractive street behind the hotel.

Il mare non agibili ,non bello, il check-in deludente non avevo letto che dovremo pagare una cauzione,per possibile danni in camera ,200 dollari ,papesco,prime volta in RD CHE mi capita ..ancora sto aspettando il rimborso ,se mette un mese. mon ostante la situazioni ,devo dire che i ragazzi della resezione molto gentile .

beautiful resort , very spacious room, extremely comfy bed , extra pillows , excellent pool , staff pool very polite , small shop next to reception if you thirsty in the might , food in restaurant was good , breakfast a bit oily but tasty

The pool and breakfast dining locations were the best part of this resort.

The staff was rude and off putting at check in. We were staying for one night and leaving the very next morning. We booked a king room and were told we couldn’t stay in that room with my husband, myself, and our 7 year old? We ended up having to get management approval to have my daughter be allowed to stay in the room with us and were required to pay more money.
