The view was very good in the morning and the location is close to restaurants.

I paid for a room that included breakfast but the staff said I booked a room only even though my booking was confirmed for breakfast. Rooms are very small and air conditioning didn’t work

トリプルの部屋に宿泊しました。部屋は丸テーブルと椅子があり、広さも丁度いいくらいでした。ベットは硬めでしたが寝心地が良かったです。部屋から駅向こうの海が見えました。今回は雨だったので残念でしたが晴れていたら綺麗だったのではないかと思います。歩いてすぐの斜め向い側に無料駐車場があります。 JR日立駅もすぐそこなので電車でも便利だと思います。

It was in a good location, close to Hitachi Station and a few restaurants and convenience stores. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and quite helpful when it came to issues regarding translation of documents. The room while small, still felt fairly spacious and I had multiple places I could place my luggage.

The hotel really had a smell of cigarettes which seeped into every surface, and at least for me required the air conditioner to be on constantly. The room was not very soundproof and so at times I could hear the alarms of other patrons in adjacent rooms, and whenever someone would be in the corridor it sounded like they were practically in the room with me, additionally the microwave was communal and in the corridor which was quite interesting, and I'm unsure of whether this is common in Japan, or Hitachi itself.
