Hôtel des Ambassadeurs

There are more negatives than positives but we did appreciate the one friendly staff member, the good location and its cheapness.

This hotel was on the tired side. We understand there are stairs in European hotels but if you are put into a room on the third floor up from a steep, spiral staircase, you'd expect some help with your bags. When we initially left our bags before check in, it was in an unlocked area with lots of people coming and going (because it was an eating area and you weren't allowed to eat in your room) and didn't seem secure. Most staff members were extremely unhelpful and rude (and this is coming from a fluent French speaker who understands French culture and niceties - and the only rudeness we experienced in a month in France). The rooms were dirty with layers of mould in the bathroom. It was really noisy as well.

La ubicación es inmejorable para quienes llegamos en tren. Hay varios super cerca y muchos otros servicios y negocios. El wifi es gratuito. Muy amable el personal de recepción. Guardaron mi equipaje por 1 día sin cobro extra.

El acceso es por escaleras sin ascensor, a la recepción en primer piso y a las habitaciones, en mi caso en segundo piso. La habitación tenía un dejo de olor a tabaco/humedad o algo extraño. Nada grave, pero notable al ingresar. El tamaño es mínimo pero con todo lo necesario, muy austero y vintage. La zona de la estación es algo intimidante después de las 22h. El hotel tiene abierta la puerta hasta las 23.

Ambiance glauque, décoration défraîchie, moquette vieillie et odorante. Des escaliers très raides pour accéder à l'accueil et aux chambres.
