Gorgonia Apartments

The location is great. Small village not crowded. Parking space was provided. Apartment was well equipped. The owners were not intrusive but were available. We used free bikes. All (must seen) beaches are in 5-10 min by car.

I liked the location, it was quiet. Also beds were comfortable.

To be honest this was no **** standard as was declared. 1. Really poor equipped kitchen without dishwasher and another standard tools as grater, cups for tea, etc. 2. You have to pay for water if you consume more than 50 L per apartment and day - I can understand the situation on the island but this is something what the guest has to be informed before. 3. no warm water at the wasbasin in one of two bathrooms, in the other one only lukewarm water flowed, 4. really slow wifi and unstable, 5. although they declare soundproof walls, this is definitely not true, you can hear the guests from all directions, 6. no coffee machine, 7. due to the low-quality of the window blinds, you cannot have darkness in the bedroom - either in the evening the streetlight shines into the room, or, in the opposite position, in the morning the sun shines to your eyes.

We are in huge apartment having 2 toilets, surprised. The parking was in shadow and you could get for free the kayaks or bikes. We only used kayaks which were excellent to paddle on the other side of the bay for shopping. The owner of apartment also has a restaurant near the sea, food there (we ate fish) was excellent, price also, except the drink which were a little pricey. The apartment was great with terrace and view to the sea. The climate inside was great and we never had to use air conditioner. The internet was fine, good reception and speed. 30 meter away is sea where you can jump into, but if you want some nice beach I would recommend beach near camp Mandarina (around 10 minutes of walk), we were disappointing with Sakarun beach (which is around 25 minutes of walk). The owner was really helpful, gave us plenty of good advice we could later use. The fridge is huge :) And they also put a mosquito repellent.

As always I miss good lighting for reading and for now I think I were only in one hotel where the lighting was excellent. Maybe that you need your own toilet paper.

We took the ferry from Zadar and drove to the apartment. Parking was also easy to locate on the premises. We had a super friendly welcome from Gianni who gave us a room with a great view and recommendations for different places to visit and restaurants to try in Dugi Otok.Thanks! We ate in the grill restaurant on our first night too and food was tasty and Gianni and the guys there were super friendly.

Vi blev oerhört väl omhändertagna!Lugnt och skönt område med närhet till fantastiska stränder. Hotellet hyr ut havskajaker och båt, hjälper till att ordna utflykter. Det enda negativa var att det tog en evighet att koka upp vatten på kokplattan, så om man vill laga mycket mat på rummet så får man inte ha bråttom eller vara vrålhungrig. ;)
