"It's like wearing a mask for carnival."

8.0

The ryad is beautifully decorated w/amazing architecture and furnishings. At first the food is surprising and amazing but as the days wear on, not so. You never got warm enough, especially on the last night when the radiators were set on high but too no effect. The hotel is quick to arrange transportation and guides but buyer beware. A taxi ride to the train station cost 1.50 euros from the street when we obtained it but cost 15.00 euros the next day when the hotel acquired the ride for us, 10 times what we paid for it. Our guide through the hotel cost the same as others but then you had to continue to pay 1 euro here, 1 euro there and 1 euro just to have doors opened for you.

Incredible experience staying at Ryad Alya. We stayed for 6 days and could have easily stayed for 6 more. The staff is as amazing as the beautify and comfort of the Ryad. I cannot recommend this place more.

"Great Ryad very near the Blue Gate of Fes Medina"

10.0

Jaw dropping is what happened when we entered this Ryad. We were met with amazing hospitality and very warm, caring staff. The garden area of the Ryad was incredible - tile work, carvings, fountain and orange trees transported us from the hustle and bustle of the town to the quiet and relaxing space in the Ryad. Although we didn't take advantage, there is a spa and the Ryad serves dinner too. Each morning, we ate like kings - lots of fruit, eggs, breads, tea and coffee. On the morning we had to leave, we left quite early and the Ryad not only arrange our transportation but also sent us on our way with a lovely meal to eat in the car. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean, well appointed with toiletries, hairdryer, towels, comfy sheets, free wifi, etc etc. We traveled with our two children and we shared a wonderful room together. There was a king sized bed, seating area, two twin beds and a large bathroom, and still plenty of place for our luggage and stuff acquired in the Medina. The Medina is very close and the walk is easy. Bank machine and other little shops just down the street if needed. Prior to the trip, I reached out to the staff at Ryad Alya and they were quick to respond and very helpful with suggestions and ideas for our time in Fes. I can't say enough good things about this Ryad!

"Fes luxury."

10.0

Arrived at 2.00 in the morning after an eventful 5 hour drive from Tangier and the night porter guided us in to the Ryad. The staff looked after us so well, for the whole week we were there. Beautiful suite and gorgeous craftsmanship throughout the Ryad.

"Stunning! The perfect escape."

10.0

Wow :) This place is truly stunning. Hassan is a natural host who goes out of his way to ensure that your stay is perfect. We experienced everything they had to offer - dinner, lunch, mint tea, lemonade, the hamman AND the cooking course! All of it wonderful. We would especially recommend the Cooking Course with the delightful Amina and Fatima. We have the best memories of an amazing holiday. Thoroughly recommend Fes - vastly preferable to Marrakech for a visit to Morocco.

"Our suite was over the top!"

10.0

Our stay here was great! At first the manager seems a bit pushy, but he is just trying to accommodate your every need. Staff was great! (Especially Omar!!!). Food was yummy. Close to the medina. Book the Casablanca suite. It's a splurge, but well worth it!

"An unbelievably ideal stay!"

10.0

One of the best stays during our nine day trip through Morocco. Every detail of the hotel and the staff's hospitality was second to none. The riad itself is truly a palace and Hassan and his staff treat you like royalty. It made visiting a fabulous city like Fes even more enjoyable.

"Best Riad and Service in Morocco"

10.0

We stayed for two nights. First of all Hassan and his staff are simply amazing. Their friendliness, service and hospitality are second to none. They all spoke such good english. Anything we wanted to know they were well informed. They took me to a private unground parking lot where we left our car for two days. I think it cost $3.50 per day. We were greeted by Hassan with a cup of fantastic Berber Tea. We ate dinner here and it had to be our best meal in Morocco. Tangine style of course. Food was excellent and lots of it. Breakfast was fit for a king. The riad is like a palace. It was easily as beautiful and ornate as some of the palaces we saw while touring Morocco. Our room was large, clean and well supplied with bathroom amenities. Riad Alya was by far the best accommodations and service we saw in our 3 week vacation in Morocco. Everything and I mean everything was perfect. I would never stay anywhere else when i return to Morocco. I would highly recommend staying here, for all of the right reasons. Location, service, cleanliness, food, comfort and price. This place is so amazing you'll walk away feeling like a king.
