Hotel Torcolo

Great little hotel in a perfect location in the centre of Verona. Staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely will return.

Couldn’t get a better location right across from the arena restaurants, coffee, shops bar, all that you want of scenery it’s right there

The hotel has a fabulous location, it’s tucked just back from Piazza Bra ( the arena). Quiet enough but within a strides distance of the main event. Verona has so much to see and the staff at the hotel could not have done more to help us see it all. They gave excellent advice whenever we needed it, recommended some excellent restaurants ( and helped book them)- overall the staff here were exceptional. The rooms have all that you need and are clean, comfortable and quiet. I’ve seen all I need to see in Verona which is a shame because this hotel would be my go to stop if I needed to come back.

Great budget property in heart of city

I've stayed there three times and always found the staff friendly and efficient and the rooms perfectly good. It's in a central and attractive area, with the arena on the doorstep and with easy access to public transport.

Fantastic staff and breakfast, and great to have the breakfast outside. Nice quiet and convenient location. Bedroom with comfortable bed all all facilities you need - even a bidet. Great place!

Perfect location, room was cool (despite soaring outside temperatures) and it was spacious with everything I needed. Comfortable bed (and I have a very bad back/right leg but slept very well which I don't always) and despite a very central location there was no noise at night in the room - was really surprised! Staff were friendly, kind and very helpful. Others have commented that decor is not new, but all was clean and comfortable - I had a great time and felt very welcomed. Would definitely return.

Friendly helpful staff. Unfortunately, the rock hard mattresses spoilt the trip; it was impossible to sleep for more than a couple of hours and lying on such a hard surface resulted in hip pain which has continued now for several days. When I asked for a replacement they couldn’t do anything for the first two nights as all rooms were taken. They found a new mattress for the third night but this wasn’t much better; it came from a spare ‘put up’ bed which was softer when on the camp style base but once transferred to my solid base bed became as hard as the original mattress as there was no give in the bed. Looking at other comments on the site I see this is a common problem and wonder why it has not yet been resolved. The decor of the room was also disappointing. One wall had one mirror and that was the complete decoration for the room. I had to clean the inside of the bed side cabinets and wardrobe before placing items inside. The bathroom was clean as were the floors. The breakfast was as expected and the young man serving very polite and helpful. To summarise a lovely family running the hotel but this is also the same family who aren’t listening to feedback on the bed situation, a problem which dominated my stay and affected the enjoyment of the whole trip.

From check-in to check out everything was fantastic! Super helpful staff, booked restaurants and taxis for us, location is fantastic too, will definitely be back to Hotel Torcolo
