M Star Hotel Mansfield

Was looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay for the first time visiting for the Honda 200 and Mansfield was less than 15 minutes from the track. Booked a room and was pleasantly surprised with the overall experience. Room was clean and had everything I needed. For a drive up hotel, I couldn't have asked for more. The small snack shop connected was also a nice feature to grab a few sodas and snacks. A short walk towards the square and stop in at Uncle John's for a cocktail and food.

No issues with the room or experience. I was in a corner room on the second floor with balcony facing the main street. It was a bit noisy, but was exhausted enough to fall asleep without waking from vehicles passing.

Smell of smoke every where

The people who work there are great.

This place was not worth 60$ , might as well spend a couple extra bucks and go to a holiday inn

Nothing. The price was low, but that should have been foretelling

The worker was rude. We booked and quickly realized we booked the wrong place. I called to cancel and was told there were no cancellations. Being as we already spent the money and it was getting late we decided to just stay there. In a nutshell the place stank of smoke and weed. The room had stains everywhere, the bathroom had bugs and cigarette burns. The bedding stunk so bad my child’s asthma started to bother him. We quickly decided it wasn’t possible to sleep in this mess. I got my family back in the car and checked out. The next we called to ask about our refund and we were told that someone came and asked for our key so the desk rep gave them our room key and that since they stated in the room we can’t be refunded. Mind you this was after 3am, and in a city we have never been to or heard of before, so no one we knew approached the desk looking for a key. Truly a dispicable hotel with a staff that shouldn’t have any interaction with customers.
