B&B Il Poggiolo delle Rose

Our room was comfortable, clean, cozy and beautifully decorated, plus it had an amazing view of the Monastery. Elizabeth and Fabrizia did everything possible to make our experience so enjoyable; they provide us with amazing tips to travel in the city, and also gave us maps, let us borrow books and book amazing tours for us. The hotel is close from downtown Florence so car is not needed, but it's a nice to have to explore all the towns in Tuscany (or you can take the train or book tours for them). If traveling by train, use the bus route 37 from SMN to the stop (ferrata) Le Rose 01 (as of Sep 2014, or check the Ataf page for updated schedule and route). Quick notes: the breakfast was great, home made warm bread and cappuccino every day! Internet was completely free for us, so that was a big plus. Don't forget to try their house Chanti. My husband and I have no words to express our gratitude to the staff of Il Poggiolo delle Rose for providing us the best Italian attention we have ever seen.

I voted all excellent on the B&B, such a beautiful place, lovely hostess, and amazing location. We were directed to monuments, food, and culture all which we're amazing!!!! Fabiola (sorry about spelling) greeted us at the gates and we were in B&B heaven. They were very accommodating to us, and their breakfast was true quality!!! Something I haven't had since I arrived in Italy. Thank you for the attention to detail and great stay!

Our family of 2 adults a teen girl and an 11 year old girl had an absolutely delightful stay. Wonderful family as hosts that went out of there way to ensure we had everything we needed an tips and local knowledge about how to really enjoy Florence. Easy short ride into Florence from the B&B. Highly recommend.

The location just outside Florence was excellent if you are with a car. It is very easy to get into Florence from the B&B. The room itself was very nice and stylish except that there was almost no water pressure with the shower and the temperature on the shower would go from cold to burning hot with no stable spot in between. The staff was friendly although not particularly knowledgeable about what to see and what to avoid in the area. A particularly annoying aspect was that even at 100 Euros a night they charge by the hour to use the WiFi. Even tiny cafés don't do that and I spend a lot less at a café.

Only stayed 1 night but very convenient location for airport - 25 min walk dragging cases - & main sights - 35 min walk to leaning tower. Very friendly staff allowed us to leave luggage there the morning of check in day. Very quiet & superb breakfast.

Wonderful place to stay... Excellent help from owners on booking things to see in Florence. Place is almost brand new, and very well kept. Highly recommended.

We were a group of 4 - my wife and myself and my wife's mother and her husband. We had a hard time finding the place, even using GPS, but after meeting lots of locals to get directions (we had to ask a number of different people) we finally found it - and did we ever love it! The rooms were great, the property amazing and the staff ABSOLUTELY amazing. The did everything to make us feel welcome. This hotel is a keeper - and next time Im in the Florence area, im booking this B&B again.
