Hyatt Place Santa Fe

A very beautiful hotel with fresh, clean, spacious rooms and great customer service! I had more than a few requests of the front desk during my stay and each request was answered positively and quickly. It has been a long time since I've stayed at a hotel with this level of service! Outstanding! And, the hotel is easy to get in and off of the highway and centrally located to everything. I will be back!

I enjoyed the cleaningness of the room and how big it was. I enjoy the modern space and bunch of hang out areas.

At least reveal there are some hidden fees, such as parking they charged me $4. Its not a fortune but considering it an average parking lot like Walmart its kind of ridiculous to be paying for parking when there are a tons around this area. Next time be upfront and not be sneaky and charging customers upon check out.

The Hyatt Place Santa Fe is located on the outskirts of Santa Fe about 10 minutes from most tourist attractions.  This is an older Hyatt Place that appears to have undergone a recent renovation. Guest rooms reflect Hyatt’s latest iteration of the Hyatt Place brand, a clear step up from earlier layouts.  The 55-inch television is what you expect in 2026. Also, there are ample electrical and USB outlets throughout the room. But the basics aren’t fully thought through. The TV lacks streaming capability, which feels like an oversight in 2026. The in-room setup includes a mini-fridge, coffeemaker and safe, but no microwave. The coffeemaker is stocked with reusable mugs rather than plastic-wrapped disposable cups, raising legitimate sanitation questions. I for one never trust in-room coffee mugs or drinking glasses to be clean.  Provided toiletries are standard: bar soap, small bottle of lotion, a makeup wipe and wall-mounted dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash.  The renovation could have been better. Paint work is sloppy in places. Wall coverings are scuffed, scratched and, in some cases, fraying. It looks less like it was rushed or value-engineered. Cleanliness is similarly inconsistent. At first glance, the room appears clean. On closer inspection, it falls short. The coffee table was visibly stained and had not been wiped down. A drawer contained debris and hair. Dust and dirt had accumulated along baseboards and around standing lamps. It’s not a dirty hotel, but it is not a truly clean one either. The lobby offers a welcome touch with complimentary copies of the local newspaper and a wide selection of brochures for area attractions. Those details matter. In particular, the newspaper is nice. But like the room, public spaces suffer from a lack of attention to detail. Trash cans in the lobby were overflowing. A microwave left in the hallway outside a guest room at 3 p.m. was still there the following day at 8 a.m. Trash bags, used bed linens and a luggage cart also sat uncollected in the corridors. This is more than untidy. Obstructions in hallways present a safety risk in the event of a fire or evacuation. Unattended trash also raises basic health concerns, including the potential to attract pests. The hotel advertises a bar and restaurant on its website and with signage in the elevators. In reality, the advertised bar and restaurant is closed. While breakfast service is available, the hotel claims to lack the required license to serve food and drinks for the rest of the day. There is no disclosure of this. Failing to inform guests is misrepresentation. Speaking of breakfast, it is basic. Scrambled eggs appear to be made from powdered or liquid mix, alongside breakfast potatoes and an unidentifiable type of bacon. There may have been a local New Mexican-style porridge, although it was unclear what it actually was. It could have also just been a salsa. The rest of the offering is equally underwhelming. Two or three varieties of sugary, unbranded cereals, some oatmeal, a bowl of unlabeled yogurt and half-frozen berries intended as toppings. Notably absent were any fresh fruit options. No apples, no oranges, no bananas. Milk options were limited to 2% milk in a small carafe. There was no skim milk and no oat or other non-dairy alternative. Everything is served on paper plates with plastic cutlery, which only reinforces the overall impression of a bare-bones, low-effort breakfast. If I'm being honest, you can get a better breakfast at McDonald's or Starbucks. Pre-arrival communication is also lacking. The hotel sends text messages but does not respond to replies. All things considered, there are better-located options. The hard product is passable but the soft product (service, F&B, housekeeping) is below average. There are plenty of comparable hotels nearby. The only compelling reason to stay here is collecting Hyatt points.

Our stay was excellent. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly.
