For my trip, perfect location, opposite the race circuit. Breakfast was tasty as was the coffee. Room was a lovely surprise, lounge area, 2 tvs, fantastic walk shower, air con. Wish I’d stayed longer.

It was a gathering of 8 ladies from different parts of the country who meet up every year in a different location. Some ladies were attending a special function in Derby on the Saturday so the location was not only easy for those travelling from afar but also close to Derby. Our thanks go to all the staff who were on duty during the w/e. They were all very welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful, particularly Angela, Jane, the breakfast staff and a lady who sorted out the safe in my room which wouldn't unlock!! There was an excellent choice of cooked breakfast, all cooked to order, cereals, juice yogurt and fruit, with plenty of tea and coffee. When visiting the hotel to view the rooms Angela was very helpful in suggesting a way that we could all be in the Stables. The rooms, newly refurbished last year, were extremely comfortable and 2 had a lovely view over the countryside. 3 ladies enjoyed visits to local tourist attractions.

The phone didn't work in room 25 but staff said they would report it to Maintenance. 2 ladies in room 26 said they were cold, despite trying to increase the thermostat. Unfortunately they did not like the proximity to the Airport.

The heating system radiators were an unusual style of running. Didn't really understand

Team were amazing, room large and very clean

My fried eggs were hardly cooked which spoilt the breakfast.
