Canadas Best Value Inn & Suites-Charlottetown

This hotel is 15 minutes away from the airport by taxi and 10 minutes away from the downtown of Charlottetown, also by taxi, so it was really convenient to explore the city. The room was big and clean enough, receptionist was very kind. I appreciated having water bottles in our room as complimentary drinks.

The breakfast options are heavily limited. It is the same every single day, so if you are staying for multiple days, you might get tired of it. However, the breakfast place is also a restaurant that is open from 11AM to 2AM and have a nice variety of food with amazing prices, so that could be an option if you want to eat something else but do not want to go too far.

- This was one of the cheapest places to stay that has breakfest included in the price, and definitely the earliest served breakfast - starting as early as 6am (both weekdays and weekends; and we needed an early breakfast since my kid was into a competition starting at 7:20 Saturday). - Location is quite convenient, close to multiple places to get a dinner and you don't have to drive for that.

- Interior in our room was very dated. Room was clean - no complaints on that, but small and so much dated. - Breakfast - fair. We were able to get ourselves full enough to live through half of the day (omelet, sausages, beans, toasts, cereals, coffee, tea, juice), but nothing fancy. - AC that heats/cools the room is located 1ft away from one of the beds, it's a bit noisy to sleep. - Shower head was making more kind of a mist rather than water streams, though you could make it and get a shower. - The last but not the least, something we didn't expect in any possible way: I booked through booking.com. Check-in time indicated in the reservation – “until midnight”. We were arriving somewhat late (between 9pm and 10pm). Literally 5 minutes before we parked at the place we received a cancellation email: as we’ve been explained at the counter, if the credit card was not present/provided at the moment of booking, they tend to cancel the reservation. Luckily, this was sorted out right away at the reception and the initial rate for the room was honoured; imagine if we have arrived closer to midnight and our room happened to be given to someone else (next day in the early morning the place looked pretty packed). If not this - I would have given 7*, but now it's only 6*.
