Hotel Alte Post

I had breakfast which wasn't that great, but thought it was included in what I had paid. It turned out that I hadn't paid for it, so that was more outlay and I'd say it was a little overpriced. Location just across from Lehrte station is excellent.

Having stayed here many times, the hotel met our expectations as usual. Location is everything with this hotel ,the Bahnhof is no more than 2 minutes away, with the town a similar distance behind the hotel.

The room we were allocated has the softest mattresses ever and as such is difficult to get on and off. If you move about often whilst asleep - then I'd suggest you avoid room 121. This stay we realised for the first time that the rooms have no air conditioning. Staying on one of the hottest weeks this year, the rooms even with the windows open all day and night were still stiflingly warm. Several guests had their room doors wedged open trying to generate a breeze through the room. To be fair to the hotel, the weather was exceptionally hot and the majority of our visits here are normally outside of High Summer.
