Riad Dar Zitouna Marrakesh - entire house in exclusivity

The interior of the house was beautiful, clean and calm, just a short walk from the medina. The plunge pool was very much appreciate in the heat, and the children jumped straight in. It was lovely to have a whole house to ourselves as we were 10 people including my elderly parents, 2 teenagers and my 9 year olds. The kids found their space and disappeared to do their own thing. There was good WiFi and cable television. There was a kitchen with a fridge at our disposal. We never used the coffee machine or microwave, but we did spot them. We ordered a meal to eat in one night after a day trip to Essaouira, and it was lovely to come home to such a lavish spread and it was delicious. The manager was mainly off site, but was contactable by phone or WhatsApp. He recommended the loveliest restaurant nearby on our first day, and helped with airport transfers etc.

I think we'd been spoilt the last 3 times we'd been to Morocco, because breakfast at each of the Riads was beautifully laid out and there was a little variety each day. Doniya, the housekeeper and cook, did her absolute best to meet our needs and we tried to communicate through Google Translate, so it got a little varied (omelette instead of boiled eggs) towards the end. But there was never enough to fill us up, and we were having to ration one pancake or flatbread per person, and then fill up on bread. Toiletries were minimal, tiny bottles of shampoo in the shower and a hand-wash by the sink. Remember to bring your own. We expected air-conditioning in each of the bedrooms, but the two ground floor rooms only had ceiling fans. It was 39⁰C on the day we arrived, so we really would have appreciated it. Additionally, 3 of the rooms were very narrow with no space to climb into bed from the sides. My elderly parents, who had limited mobility, had to pull the sheets down and then crawl the full length of the bed to get in. It would have been OK for younger or more physically able people. But my parents needed rooms on the ground floor, so there wasn't much choice for them. The ants and flies in the courtyard were impossible to escape. Maybe a daily wash of the area would gave helped. The ants were crawling through our breakfast but we wiped away what we could. The bees weren't so easy to ignore and it got to hot when we shut the doors and windows during breakfast. But the cloud of flies in the courtyard - well, it's the first time I've been bitten by flies!! And it hurt! We wanted so much to enjoy the cooler evenings together as a family, which is why we booked the whole house, but they were there all day and stayed with us till sunset.

Ci siamo andati su consiglio.di amici che ci erano già stati. Un posto incantevole al riparo dal caos della Medina. C'è tutto quello che si vede nelle fotografie. La disponibilità di Hicham e le Colazioni del mattino preparate con la cura e il sorriso di Latifa hanno reso ancora più bello il nostro soggiorno.

Niente. Unico suggerimento che proponiamo è quello di dare dei consigli agli ospiti sui luoghi che vale la pena visitare a Marrakesh e sulle prenotazioni da effettuare con anticipo come per il Jardin Majorelle

Le cadre est très joli, le riad est joliment décoré et le toit terrasse est très agréable. 2 chambres au rdchaussée, 2 au 1er étage et une autre en haut. Très bon accueil, Hicham est disponible et très soucieux que tout se passe bien. Latifa, discrète et tellement gentille est une perle qui fait tout pour satisfaire les clients. Les repas étaient délicieux. Le riad est situé non loin du souk et pourtant très au calme et proche du parking bab taghzout où on peut prendre le taxi.
