Amalfi Resort Busselton's Best Kept Secret

Hubby and I have just spent a nice week at Ultiqa@Amalfi Resort Busselton, WA. Amalfi Resort is a compact resort tucked away down a side street off the main road and a couple of minutes walk to the beach. It consists of 48 units with various unit configurations. Most are independent 2 storey villa units, while there are some 2 bedroom units on the same level but either as ground floor or first floor locations. Ours was a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom villa unit with internal stairs up to the second bedroom. This is not an enclosed bedroom but actually a mezzanine "room/floor" with a hip height internal wall facing into the main unit space with 1 queen and 2 single beds. The bathroom is on the ground floor along with the main queen bedroom. The unit is a reasonable size - perfect for 2 people, a little cosy for 4 and definitely crowded if you tried to fit 6 people in it (which is what it was set up for). The unit was lovely, very well appointed, looked recently renovated with all new appliances. Full kitchen facilities. Starter packs of kitchen and bathroom essentials provided - really enough for 2 people for 1 week. Good TV with Foxtel and good wifi. Reverse cycle aircon which we needed when the weather turned cold. The grounds are nice, a small pool and BBQ area, but no restaurant. The office sells a few snacks and a bakery van drops by every morning for "breakfast" purchases. It was very quiet but less than 1/4 full most of the time. Ultiqa have only a very limited number of units in this resort. The resort is about 8 minutes drive from the main part of town. You need a car as there is nowhere to eat within a short walking distance. There are a couple of strip malls with small supermarkets and takeaway food places 2 - 3 minutes drive away, with full sized supermarkets about 8 minutes drive away. Plenty of restaurants and cafes in the main part of town and on the waterfront. Parking is pretty easy (and free!). Location is great, nice beach almost next door, and just 30 minutes drive from the Margaret River region. The weather was lovely for the first 3 days and allowed us to do a lot of "outdoor" activities, but for the remainder of the week it was cold, windy and rainy. There was still enough indoor activities to keep us occupied. Enjoyed our stay here. The area has a lot to offer not just wineries.

We got the 2-bedrooms apt & it was very clean, spacious with comfy sofas, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen with coffee machine, washer with dryer. It’s like a home away from home.
