Nomads Magnetic Island

The room was small but cosy and perfectly set above on the the beach.

Nice location right at the beach. Cute general look of the hostel. Very social if you are looking for it.

No WiFi nor reception in the rooms (I was not the only one, this was case for everyone in my room). So whenever you wanted to do anything on your phone, you needed to go closer to the bar/reception area. That also means when it's raining (basically any evening in rainy season), you can only use your phone in the loud bar/reception area, no relaxed browsing or even calling possible. Bathrooms are not too clean but still fine/average. Kitchens are among the worst I have seen in my six weeks in Australia. Way to small and quite dirty!!! Also, in rainy season you will get wet when you need to go to the Bathroom at night.. Overall, I would not come again.

Food was terrible, would not recommend!

De vrije ongedwongen sfeer, de ligging direct aan het water, zwembad voor de deur, uitzicht vanuit de kamer. Bus voor de deur!

Het hele eiland was in winterslaap, dus heel erg rustig. Maar dat kan ook positief zijn!

Near to the beach and also near to picnic bay where we saw koalas. Nice outdoor space. Lots of showers.

Staff were sometimes helpful sometimes not. All the sun loungers have holes in. The toilets are nearly all broken, not flushing, broken doors or blocked. Rooms are not quite what you see on social media/ booking sites
